About The Role
Gloucestershire Music is seeking highly skilled and passionate instrumental and vocal tutors to join their contracted team. As a tutor, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of Whole Class Ensemble Teaching and paired or individual lessons through the GM Peripatetic Service. Whilst some administrative tasks are required within the role, your primary focus will be on teaching high quality lessons in schools across the county, fostering a love for music, and helping young people develop their musical interests. About You
Applications are welcome from all instrumental specialisms with particular interest for teachers of brass, strings, voice and piano.
Glos Music address: Colwell Arts Centre, Derby Rd, Gloucester, GL1 4AD.
Work address: Variety of school locations around Gloucestershire, depending on the role
Day and time: Weekdays during school hours
Regularity: Weekly during term time (max 30 weeks per academic year).
From: September 2025
This position is advertised as 1hr initially as a minimum contract but is very likely to have more hours available depending on the candidate’s ability to travel to the necessary parts of the County where schools / parents have requested tuition - this would be discussed at interview. Contract hours are changed 3 times a year (for each new term) and will vary depending on demand.
This position is subject to an Enhanced and Barred Child Workforce DBS check.
